Thank you all so much!

Hi everyone, this is Brian. This is my 1st time writting on the blog. I would like to thank everyone for supporting me. I want to thank everyone in Burlington VT for keeping me alive for starters, as well as befriending me and taking care of Emily.

I want to thank everyone at Mt. Sinai for giving me the shove I needed to keep going and for being so helpful and caring. You took us rednecks in as your own.

Now Ogdensburg Rehab is a whole other story. I want to thank everyone for helping me be a part of the best day of my life. Being able to be there when Karissa came into this world is the best gift I could ever be given. You all treated us like family and took us in as a family. You will never know how much that means to me.

I also want to thank all of the special people who helped us make it through this tragedy. I want to thank both of our families for sticking by us and always being there for us. A huge thanks goes out to my mom Linda for never leaving my side in Burlington and the rest of my family for being my biggest cheerleaders. I would have never made it without you. My brother Shane & Jamie have kept my dream of hunting alive, I thank you so much. My brother Eric for doing all of the flooring for us and my sister Dawn, Randy, Michelle & Shawn for the benefit and coming to see me everywhere we went. I love you guys so much!!! I am proud to have you as my family.

Another huge Thank you goes out to Emily's entire family for everything they have done for us. I appreciate all of the support, visits, jamboree and helping Emily out in every way. You all are a huge part of my life and I thank you so much for treating me like your own. Grandma, thank you so much for everything you do for us. You have created a family full of wonderful people. I am so sorry that we have been apart for so long because of the C-diff.

There are no words to express the gratitude I have for Em's mom Noreen and her stepfather Bill for rearranging their entire lives so we could have a place to call home. They have given up so much for us and I am so greatful. The money and time spent to have us live together is more appreciated then you will ever know. I also need to thank Noreen for being by my side and being there for Emily in Burlington, New York City and Ogdensburg. Thanks Bill for everything you do, you have always treated me like a son and that means the world to me. Thank you. I love you guys so much!

A gigantic thank you to my wonderful wife. I don't even know where to begin. You have never left my side and never giving up on me. Being pregnant and dealing with all you had to deal with is just totally unbelieveable. Thank you so much being my best friend. You are the most amazing person in the world, there is no way I could ever thank you enough or repay you for all that you do for me. I could never survive a day of my life both physically and emotionaly without you. You have given up your entire life and there is no way that I could begin to thank you enough for that or if thank you is even the right thing to say. I am so sorry for all of the problems I have caused and for killing all of our lifelong dreams, it kills me every day. YOU MEAN MORE TO ME THAN YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR KARISSA, SHE IS THE MOST WONDERFUL GIFT EVER.

Last but not least thank you to Katie for starting this blog and for being there and helping us out in New york. The blog has been the only connection we had with "home" while away and now a nice way to keep in touch.

I have been trying to do this for hours and am exhausted and my arm is getting tired from the typing stick, so I have to go. Thanks again to everyone. I love you all!

Hi everyone! Well we had an eventful day, Alot of my family came over to our house for dinner and cake and ice cream. I have to tell you all how lucky I am and what a wonderful husband I have. For my Birthday Brian gave me an "all about me day" which is a planned outting for 24 hours with my friend Kali. He made appointments for a massage, facial & manicure, then gave me money to go to the mall to buy a bathing suit and have lunch, then made reservations at a really nice restaraunt for dinner and a nights stay at a really nice hotel with a pool and hot tub (see where the bathing suit comes into play?) It was the best gift ever!!!! He planned it all himself. I am so excited I could scream. A whole 24 hours away is both awsome and scary. I have never left him or karissa for that long. Anyway, I just had to share that with anyone who will listen.

Everything is going pretty good. The time change screwed everyone up here, especially the little one!!! She finally went to sleep at 4:30am!! We check the blog everyday now that we can and we love to hear from everyone. Take care!

Much love - Emily
