It's Friday and our last one here!!!!

Hi Everybody! Well another week down and believe it or not time really does fly here. We are so busy all day that we bearly have time to eat. It still seems to good to be true that we are going to be closer to home. Bri and I pray every night that nothing holds us back. We are so excited about taking another step closer to having a real life again. It will be so nice to be in a home setting without nurses and aides barging in every 10 minutes. We want to be a normal husband and wife again (with child soon)and have some PRIVACY!!!!!!!
My mom and I are leaving on Tuesday to head home. Brian's mom is coming down with her car and riding back in the ambulance with Brian. Its a nine hour trip for him and since they won't let the pregnant one go, I am glad she is able to ride with him. I really am afraid of seperation anxiety though! I haven't really left Brian since July 15. I know, I know, I will survive right? There was a controversy because none of my doctors want me to travel in anything this late in pregnancy so they suggested I fly, well anyone that knows me can tell you that flying is not my favorite thing. So I am driving but I have to stop every hour to walk for 20 mins. YUK!!! Although I will have to pee anyway I am sure!

It seems as though our life is about to become somewhat crazy with all of the changes. I am looking foward to having my little girl and Brian home. It all seems like a dream I never thought would come true. I have alot to be greatful for, Brian does as well.

Well now that I am done rambling, I will close for now. I hope everyone is well. We appreciate everything everyone has done for us. Hope to see you soon!!!!

With all the love in the world,
Emily and Brian

Emily, Brian and Noreen Dearests,
Well hello! Wow, sounds like the excitement is picking up around there lately! Which person was shot? Did I know them? Beautiful day here today, and much more peaceful I think than you've had there. I'm glad you are all keeping up the blog, it's good to be connected still. I'm very excited for you to get here, and be able to have some peace. I haven't left home really for a few days and have been trying to organize my life here, though I will pick it up and head out soon, it's nice to have at least a month to be in one place. It's been fun to be in Colton, and I think of you coming back here, I'm very glad that you are. Though, you certainly have some stories from NYC don't you now? Fun that you saw the marathon, wish I was there with you all. I miss you guys, really. It's funny, but you have been a huge part of my life this season and I can't wait for you to get home. Let me know if there is anything I can do from this side ok?
Love
Katie

Hi Brian, Emily and Noreen-- have just found out about this page and am amazed with Brian's progress. My wish is for you to get to Ogdensburg soon (Harold Regan was just in rehab there he had a stroke the staff was great and dedicated and the rooms are very cheerful. He is doing much better just some loss of rt arm use.) More than getting to ogdensburg my prayers have been for Emily and Brian to return home with the new baby and return to a "normal" life. Noreen you are so brave to be in NY City but i guess for family we can do anything. Good luck with the trip HOME!!!!! Sue Thomas

Hi Em and Brian,
Imagine all those days and months and finally being able to say "we're on our way home"!!!!
What a joy it is to hear it from here - I can only imagine what it must be from there!!! We'll give you a few days to get settled then you'll have lots of company!!! Just tell us when you're ready.
Am in Clifton Park again, Kates' shower is tomorrow and then the other FL kids are coming to NY for a visit. It's been a wonderous Fall, with both kids/family visiting from FL and waiting for these two grandsons. It's a bonus that I'll have Karissa to 'fuss over', too. I'll gladly stand in line behind Grandma and Great Grandma. You two should be proud of all that you've done and of all that's ahead of you. You are an inspriation to us all!!
And now...the only way to go is...UP!!!
Love you both and can't wait to see you!!!
Mary Ellen

Em&Noreen....If I don't get to talk to you before you go, please drive carefully! Will pray for a good....Uneventful...trip! Will see you around Thanksgiving.
Mom is on her way here to stay the night with us, and will be there tomarrow. Glad she decided to stay here so she won't be driving through the city at night by herself. Say a prayer that she gets there safely.

Well, I bet you are on your way driving this very moment. I'm definitely thinking of you and hope that your stops along the way will be enjoyable. Sure was a beautiful day today, and a good one to enter the northcountry with.
I dropped off a box at your house, the ramps look good and I'm sure you'll be there soon enough. I'm praying for you all, keep your heads up and I shall see you soon. love you
Katie
