Thursday at rehab
Well its us again, we just got out of Occupational Therapy. We had quite an eventful day. Brian now has a smaller metal trache that is plugged off. He is doing great with it too! I know alot of people don't know how huge this is but I have tears in my eyes just writting this. This is a good thing!
We are both pretty tired and hungry so this won't be too awfully long. We would love to talk to you all individually and let you know that we are getting your messages but we would be here all day. So please know that we do read and appreciate all of the comments on this blog site. It makes us feel closer to home.
For all of you that call the room we know you rarely get through, we are sorry but we have a busy schedule and no answering machine. It seems like there really isn't ever enough time in the day here.
We realize that we are very loved and you have no idea how fortunate we feel to have so many people just waiting to help us. Both of our families are coming down this weekend and we are sooooooooo excited. I get to see my mommy, Gramma and Aunt Nancy and Brian's mom and sister Dawn as well. Can't wait!
Well Bri is sitting right here with me helping me write this so please know that he is reading all of your comments as well He says "I love this". Well we are both very hungry so we will close for now. We love you all soooooo much. Take care.
Brian & Emily

Hi you two,
That is such awesome news! Thank God everything went well, and will pray that it continues! I have faith that it will.
Love you both, and will see you soon. Hope you can get outside this weekend Bri...looks like the weather will be pretty nice.

Brian, Emily and Katie,
Great news on the trac. Does this mean that he is breathing on his own? The pictures are great! It is so much fun to see the two of you laughing.
We are leaving on Saturday for a short vacation (can you believe that Rod is going to take a vacation). I am not sure that we will have web access.. so we will be calling into the office to get the updates from Kaye. If you need us for anything you can get us on Rod's cell or Jay's. Kaye has both of those numbers if you don't.
You are down to a few weeks before this baby joins the fun. I was with Carys this afternoon for a while. She is so much fun. They are dressing up for Halloween tomorrow at day care. She will be a turtle. There is no way that she is slow about anything. We take care of her now and then and when she leaves Rod and I crash. I can remember thinking when Jay was little, that God should give me as much energy as he gives to the little ones.
The guys are missing Brian greatly. They come in and check the website in the morning and they love the pictures. Shawn was grateful to see him looking so much better than in Vermont. That intensive care thing is really scary.
Rod just wanted me to say HI and how he loves seeing you looking like yourself again. He is praying for a full recovery. He wants you back soon.
Have tried to call in a few time,, will keep trying.
Sign off for now. Our love and prayers are with you. Rod and Jo
Hi guys,
What great news about the trach, I knew he would make it there it just took a little longer than I thought. Emily,it must be his great respiratory therapist:)I hear you are doing a great job with that.
I love checking on you guys everyday and hope you are feeling good about Brian's progress. Talk to you soon. Jennifer Gratton
Hello Bri and Emily! We love you guys and enjoy knowing the day to day progress. We cannot wait to see you in December. Russell is mailing 2 large boxes to Dawn for the baby today. Love you guys lots, Scenda, Tianne & Russell
Hi Emily and Brian,
I love reading about your daily adventures. I will certainly have good ideas of how to be praying for you both.
Thanks for being so transparent with your struggles and joys. I really believe that this spurs us on to walk closer to Him!
Sincerely,

Really had a ball; so many lovely things! Will pkg them up and ship them soon.Got a couple outfits for near future and couple for later on.Hope you will take pictures of her in them and mail them to us at a later time.Em hope your feeling a little better then when we talked.
