hello there--- peek-a-boo

Yesterday (yes, yesterday-sorry for the delayed update)was a good day. Certainly waiting with anticipation for the onslaught of family arrival today, Brian and Emily plunged foward in the day's activites. Workout- eat- workout. Katie and Carleigh making appearences in the afternoon and evening. You can see Brian likes to give onlookers a show- prematurely, of his daughter. He's found that he can hook his thumb onto Emily's sweatshirts and get a sneak peek. Funny Bri, funny.

We had a good talk with Bill from upstate yesterday-
"you know, it's great that you can be here with him, really great" Bill, having three children and a wife needing to hold down the fort at home, is returning to his home for therapy there so that he can be close to his family.
"I wouldn't leave him here" Emily instantly replied. "Are you kidding me? He's my best friend in the whole world. We're in this together. I'm just thankful that I don't have kids that I need to take care of...just yet that is." Emily looks at her own bulging tummy she laughs;
"hold on there Karissa, take your time." A reminder to her daughter that she is not due for another 3 weeks.
"Well, at least I can bring her with me" She smiles and watches Brian as he works at techniques that to maunver a sweatshirt over his head. Another day.

I'm sure that the family reunions today are full of activity and tears. It's been quite a long haul for everyone since they came to New York, but now there are droves of friends and family to visit. Hopefully you will hear some more on that from Emily and Brian.
Signing off from Boston,
Katie

Hello Brian and Emily,
I wish I was down there to see you guys along with everyone else. By the time I get to come down you will probably be on you way home. Next weekend is my Christmas shopping trip to Syracuse. The following weekend Krista and I are off to yet another pageant. I wonder if this one will be the last. NOT, as Krista would say. Well there isn't much new up here. It was a pretty nice day today. In the 50's. Supposed to be 60 tomorrow. The boys are coming over for Skyler's B-day party. It should be fun. I am making lazagna for dinner for everyone and then cake and ice cream.
Brian I just love your smile. I can see why Emily fell in love with you. Keep up the good work you are doing great. Before you know it you will be home for good and enjoying your beautiful baby. I hope she has your smile!!!!!
Love you both, Sue

Hello Emily and Brian,
I am currently living in Germany with my husband and two daughters. I just heard all about your tring circumstance. I am so sorry for all that has happened. In spite of everything, it sounds like the two of you are doing as well as can be expected. You have been put on several prayer lists here. So please have peace that hundreds of people in Germany are praying for you. I wish the best for the two of you and your "little one" on the way. Stay strong and be positive. It is a wonderful thing that you have close family support. Your in our prayers.

HI,

After I spoke to you this AM a friend of mine gave me some info. I
tried to call you again but no answer. Here is some info regarding medical air travel and some have NO costs to the patient and family members. The first is Mercy Medical Airlift 1-888-675-1405 website www.mercymedical.org
another one is Angel Flight Northeast 800-549-9980 web www.angelflightne.org There are several others if you are interested. It doesn't hurt to call these toll free numbers and find out. You can go on the following website for more info on these and others. The site is www.airandspacemagazine.com there is a sectiion for "A guide to available medical airlift services" Many of these are free and the criteria for eligibility for each is different. Who knows? Doesn't hurt to ask.
Mickey
